Assemblies

Hi,

Helen and I did the year 7 assembly yesterday and it went really well! After school a year 7 came up to me and said he was excited about entering the competition.

Can't wait to hear how the other assemblies went!

Agenda for 3rd November

1.       Assembly feedback from the two done so far.

2.       Judging the entries. Who does this?

3.       Energy monitors – their jobs and what we say on their ID cards.

4.       Involving Yr’s 10, 11, 12 & 13. How do we do this?

5.       Any other bright ideas??

Important points from todays meeting

For people absent from the meeting we discussed the following:

As you know the Energy Group decided to go for the Pod Switch-Off Fortnight which runs from 22nd November to 3rd December. So we are mainly focusing on the energy group's side for the moment. http://www.jointhepod.org/schools/default

We discussed:
> Questions  for the IT department
 Helen and someone else was going to go to the IT with questions

> Assembly and poster compitition 
We will launch a poster competition on South site for years 7-9 the week after half term
 The following people are going to present the competition in assembly
Sara & Helen - year 7s on Tuesday

Luke & Dawn - year 8s on Wednesday

Paridhi, Eleanor  & Mansi Year 9s Thursday (maybe Friday if the Head of Year needs to rearrange it)

 

> Advertising for switch off campaign 

- info on the screen in the 6th form common room and in the hall

- energy quiz during the big switch off fortnight

- new poster for turning off light switches

Hi Cherwell Earthians!

I set up this blog because I thought it would be easier to communicate with everyone rather than email.  Also it is clearer to see past agendas and other details.
